Event Overview
The advent of Quantum Computers and the algorithms that can exploit their power (such as Shor’s algorithm) may someday obsolete the encryption schemes that we use today. Are you ready?
Join us as we investigate the issues faced in a Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) world, and what we can do in Higher-Ed to prepare ourselves for it.  We’ll review the technology, impacts, challenges, solutions, and timelines for transitioning to Quantum-Safe Cryptography (QSC).  Is a Quantum Apocalypse coming, let’s discuss.

Session Outcomes:
Participants will:
 - Understand the risks and rewards of Quantum Computing
 - Assign an appropriate priority to PQC implementation
 - Expand upon the short- and long-term tasks for IT departments to prepare for QSC.
