Event Overview
For many students, their smartphone is their favorite tool for interacting with information. It serves as their chosen platform for learning, creating, and sharing information and skills with friends, classmates, and colleagues. Please join us to learn about the power of such mobile computing when it is recruited to serve as a primary support to academic progress. Jay Rozgonyi, Associate Vice Provost for Pedagogical Innovation & Effectiveness at Fairfield University, will give us an introduction to the newly launched Bellarmine Initiative in Bridgeport, CT, including the vision for iPad OS as a core resource for enrolled students. The Apple Campus Leader from The University of Vermont, who is a current undergraduate student, will provide insights into the workflows and practices of students that enable iPadOS to extend such personal skills into the academic and professional realms.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Outline the capacity of mobile computing and 5G connectivity to support students in a newly founded urban campus.
- Identify the digital workflows and practices that align with student personal experience and enable academic and professional success on Apple devices.
Please note: Apple sessions are not recorded.
