Event Overview
Students learn best by doing -- so how better to learn about the Metaverse than by building it in their own classroom projects? Interactive and immersive projects can be a terrific way to motivate and engage student learners across a range of disciplines – including art, literature, creative writing, and public health topics. And students CAN create their own interactive and immersive (XR) projects without a ton of prior programming experience.  The Verb Collective* - a toolkit created by Yale's Professor Justin Berry in collaboration with his students - offers an accessible and open-source set of tools for educators to enable non-developers into the process of generating unique or custom experiences in their fields.

Join us for this webinar, where Yale University faculty member, Justin Berry, will demonstrate the use of the Unity 3D platform with the Verb Collective toolkit and discuss how he uses it in his teaching to rapidly enable student VR creators.

Learning Outcomes
Participants will:
 - Understand how to motivate students to learn about the Metaverse by building it into classroom projects.
 - Learn how to use the Unity 3D platform and the Verb Collective toolkit to help students to become VR creators.
