Event Overview
The release of Moodle 2.8 brought with it a number of changes and developments in several areas, marking in many ways a watershed transition for the product. For example, the gradebook was largely rewritten, learning analytics became an increasingly critical focal point for future development, and the vision for the Moodle Association began to take greater shape. Users and administrators are often less concerned with putting content into Moodle as they are with getting data out. By the time we meet, many campuses will be implementing - or planning to do so - version 3.0 or even 3.1. The purpose of this meeting is to take stock of where our users are in terms of leveraging Moodle’s increasingly diverse suite of tools in a post-2.0 ecosystem, with an eye towards management, training, and reporting.
Session Outcomes:
- To understand how disparate schools are leveraging and managing the ever-growing Moodle ecosystem
- To consider the implications of using Moodle as a reporting and analytics tool
- To learn new techniques and tips for using Moodle to enhance teaching, research, and scholarship
