Company Description

Provide generalized audio visual (AV) assistance to campus community. Work as a member of a project team involving other support staff, including students. Work under close supervision of a manager or a project leader. Assist in training and supervision of student technicians on audio visual skills both of permanently installed systems and portable/ non-permanent systems.

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree; Minimum one year experience in audio visual support position or 2 years’ experience in a position that included a substantial amount (at least 50%) of audio visual Technology work (including as a student employee); Demonstrated knowledge of audio visual hardware such as switchers, receivers, and similar components; Demonstrated strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills; Demonstrated proficiency with written communication skills; Demonstrated customer service skills; Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations; Demonstrated experience using Unified Communication tools such as Zoom/WebEx/Microsoft Teams ; and, Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 pounds (equipment, etc.)

PREFERRED: Demonstrated experience in higher education; Demonstrated experience using major AV brand control systems; Certification(s) from AV manufacturers or reputable industry source; Demonstrated experience terminating Category cables and other communication wiring; Demonstrated experience in setting up temporary AV solutions; and Demonstrated experience conducting audio visual consultations or needs assessments.
