The Director provides leadership and administrative oversight for the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Honors Program to achieve the program’s mission and priorities. Under the direction of the Assistant Dean for University Honors Programs, the Director takes initiative and responsibility for effectively managing operational functions to ensure program integrity and quality. Main areas of program management include admissions, academic advising and registration, academic progress and degree clearance, curriculum, budget, assessment, campus events and programming, alumni affairs and advancement, and supervision. The Director provides academic advising, teaches a first-year seminar, and coordinates WISE practicum courses. The Director interacts effectively with individuals at various levels within an institution, as well as the general public. The Director works productively and collaboratively within the University Honors Programs team and possesses excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Education, research, and/or professional experience in a STEM field. Related higher education experience in advising, teaching, admissions, or student services working with undergraduates. Experience with budget management. Experience with professional staff and student assistant supervision. Experience interacting with high achieving students. Experience interacting with diverse student populations.

Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Four years of full-time related administrative experience in an educational setting. Experience managing a program with an academic component.
