Reporting to the Executive Director of Advancement Operations (EDAO), the Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for managing, configuring and optimizing all integrated data systems in University Advancement. This position plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the finance/business offices and advancement teams. The role involves ensuring data quality, security, integration, reconciliation and analytics while providing guidance to internal stakeholders and working closely with external vendors. The Senior Systems Administrator must be capable of managing complex systems, delivering innovative technical solutions and be comfortable with technical project management.
Salary range $62,000 - $75,000 (actual starting salary will be determined based on education and qualifications and other factors protected by law).
Raiser’s Edge/NXT Management and Optimization
• Serve as the lead Raiser’s Edge/NXT systems administrator for the University; manage and optimize all complex database systems ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Research, test and implement upgrades to database systems to keep them up to date.
• Oversee and maintain system audit initiatives to ensure data integrity; analyze future business needs and define new data systems structures that align with the school’s strategy.
• Act as a division expert on all UA Information Systems and integrations, including (but not limited to) Omatic, Fundraiser Performance Management, BBNC, PeopleGrove, ThankView, Research Point, Guided Fundraising, GiveCampus, etc.
• Develop, implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive student and staff information, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
• Oversee the integration with the University’s student and financial information systems as well an internal system integration.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., Finance, IT, etc.) and act as their business partner to ensure their data needs are met.
• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve issues and enhance system functionality.
• Investigate and resolve database-related issues, providing timely support to end-users and IT support staff.
Training
• Develop and provide robust training program for end-users on database-related tasks and best practices. Develops and oversees a robust training program to ensure the division is properly trained on Raisers’ Edge
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes and procedures ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Reporting and Analytics
• Support report and query writing in for all advancement functions
• Utilize outside reporting tools to expand upon the reporting needs of the division
• Staff support for query writing, reporting and exports
• Custom report generation for UA and other applicable SLU divisions regarding gift data
• Support for institutional reporting to external audiences for benchmarking (e.g., VSE)

Flexibility of hours is required with occasional evening or weekend work. Remote opportunity. Candidates are required to reside in one of the following states: NY, RI, NC, CT, MD, VA, MA, VT, OR certain areas in OH and other locations may be considered.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field, such as computer science, information systems, data science, or a related discipline, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Expertise with Microsoft 365, including Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Access, Teams, Power BI
• Experience with small- and large-scale technical project planning and execution
Preferred Qualifications
• Expertise with Raiser’s Edge/NXT or similar development database systems preferred
• SharePoint preferred
• Programming experience such as SQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS preferred.
• Knowledge of Advancement information systems, their functions and integrations with a central advancement CRM database preferred.
