Event Overview
"So why are so many organizations of all stripes filled with disengaged workers, dysfunctional groups, and wasted ideas? Unwittingly, the conventional structures used to organize how people routinely work together stifle inclusion and engagement."
Liberating Structures are a set of powerful facilitation techniques designed to help groups break free from conventional communication and collaboration methods. These structures encourage active participation, inclusivity, and creativity, resulting in more effective and engaging group interactions. In this workshop, participants will explore various Liberating Structures and learn how to apply them in their work and daily interactions. This is an experiential workshop! We will be moving around the room and learning by doing.
Session Outcomes:
Participants will:
- Understand concepts around the use of Liberating Structures
- Put into practice a complement of structures during the workshop
- Learn tips and techniques to confidently apply these structures, encouraging diversity of voice in group interactions
