Event Overview
Slate has become a popular product for Admissions in Higher Ed. Slate encompasses a comprehensive CRM, outreach platform, online reading, online applications, travel and event management system and is trusted by more than 400 colleges and universities.
This workshop has been designed to bring together Slate users to:
- collectively explore the functionality of the system
- how it is being used in higher education|
- and to collaborate and learn from others
Whether you are a seasoned, new, or potential users of Slate this users group is intended to target a broad range topics at varying levels. The Users Group meeting will be comprised of presentations, and panels where we will explore topics such as 3rd Party Integrations with Slate, Reporting and Analytics, Implementation, Setup and Maintenance/Support, and Best Practices. This event gives you an opportunity to network amongst Slate users, share ideas, and hear about innovative uses of Slate.

More than just email, deliver is a tool that is being used in many ways. In this session, we will explore some standard uses of deliver, but also explore how deliver is being used and customized to manage campaigns, and other processes.

Discussion with your peers about how to setup best practices around various processes in Slate. Group together with IT professionals, marketing specialists, admissions staff, undergraduate, graduate or professional schools to see what best practices they are using and take away ideas on ways to continually improve.

This session we will look at different ways that Slate is being used in combination with admissions, and outside of admissions. Have you wondered how to partner with student advising, financial aid, international scholars office, or other partners on campus? This session will explore how Slate is being used not only by admissions staff but other partners across campus to be more efficient.

Sherri Drisdelle
Sherri has presented on Slate both regionally and at the Slate Summit. She is currently the Associate Director for Professional Services at Brandeis University. Sherri has implemented eight (8) Slate databases for Brandeis including working with undergrad admissions, graduate admissions, graduate professional studies, and several smaller departments on campus using Slate as a CRM or application management system. Sherri has a bachelor's degree in computer science (B.CS), has completed her ITIL Foundations Certificate in IT Service Management, is also a certified project management professional (PMP) and has worked in IT for over 20 years.
Santiago Gomez
Santiago is a savvy and innovative admissions coordinator at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design (GSD). Ever striving for optimal efficiency, Santiago leverages the processing might of Slate to develop new features and modernize business practices. His most successful projects include a multi-tiered prerequisite evaluation system and a secure visa certification process. Prior to Santiago's role at the GSD, he was a coordinator for the Admissions Student Diversity Board at Boston University, his alma mater. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
Chris Holsten
Chris Holsten is currently the Associate Director of Enrollment Systems at Brandeis University and has been working at Brandeis for over 11 years. Chris has extensive knowledge of undergraduate admissions and enrollment management trends, and architects Brandeis' enrollment management models. Chris also manages the undergraduate instance of Slate at Brandeis, and is currently working on implementing a university-wide data warehouse for undergraduate and graduate admissions data.
Michal Miller
Michal Miller is the associate director of enrollment marketing at Brandeis University's Division of Graduate Professional Studies. Tasked with overseeing and reporting on the effectiveness of the division's digital campaigns, Michal constantly relies on Slate and other analytics tools to make more informed, strategic marketing decisions. In addition to reportable marketing data, Michal loves yoga, eating and drinking her way around Boston, and the New York Mets.
Lindsay Rauch
Lindsay Rauch is the Assistant Director of Admissions Marketing & Communications at Brandeis, overseeing the comprehensive marketing and communications efforts of the admissions department. Her responsibilities include managing the admissions website, all print publications and materials, digital marketing, and the prospective student experience in regards to interacting with and learning about Brandeis. She helps to implement strategic processes and improve upon existing methods by taking advantage of all that Slate has to offer. She is also the adviser to Brandeis Dance Marathon and is currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Digital Marketing & Design from Brandeis University.
Prior to joining Brandeis in 2014, Lindsay was the Social Media Coordinator for Solomon McCown & Company, an integrated public relations agency headquartered in downtown Boston.
Lindsay received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Connecticut in 2013.
Rebecca Weiss
Rebecca Weiss is the Assistant Director of Admissions and Recruitment at Graduate Professional Studies, Brandeis University. She has worked in the office for over four years, working with prospective students and applicants, and managing the admissions funnel. Rebecca has been using Slate in her office for over three years now, and has worked on improving the admissions experience through streamlined communications and tracking, and has recently expanded its use to student advising in addition to recruitment and admissions. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys watching Celtics games and trying new craft beers.

Reservations for the room block for April 26, must be received on or before March 26, 2017. King guest rooms are available for $121 per night, single occupancy.
