What role would you like to play in organizing this workshop? I’d like to organize a workshop on this topic but I need assistance in how to do it.
Intended Audience: Librarians
Proposal:
We (the DiMenna Nyselius Library) have developed a strong suite of resources that provide instructional support to a growing number of fully online and hybrid programs at Fairfield University. I think it would be useful to share what we've developed, the process, future plans, reflections, and important considerations. It's also worth noting that most of what we've created can (and is) used by in-person courses as well, and that we've seen success and increased usage over time.
As the Instruction Coordinator I have both managed the projects and have created a lot of the content. I've read a lot about best practices and innovative implementations, and I also chaired an Online Learning Committee that convened for 2 years to explore the impact of the university strategic priority for online learning on our library. We are far enough along in our work that I feel now is an appropriate time to share what we've done with other professionals.
Event Type: Webinar/virtual
Track: Libraries and and Digital Scholarship
