In honor of the upcoming Cybersecurity Awareness Month this October and in the spirit of this year’s motto — #DoYourPart, Vancord is offering NERCOMP members a complimentary Incident Ready Assessment.
This Assessment is normally priced at $1,950, but for one month Vancord is offering you an Incident Ready Assessment for free. Higher Ed institutions are a major target for cyber attackers, with attacks increasing more than 300% this year according to the FBI. Whether it be phishing scams or ransomware, attacks on colleges and universities are growing more sophisticated, complex, and financially devastating.
Incident Ready Assessment Offer Components
Vancord will assign two security engineers to conduct an audit that assesses your systems, networks, procedures, and policies to identify, prioritize, and manage vulnerabilities, by examining 11 security categories through a 50 point checklist. After the audit, participants will be provided an assessment report that outlines the current state and recommendations for improvements aimed at addressing potential vulnerabilities.
Don’t Become a Victim. Be Incident Ready.
Vancord is a CT-based cybersecurity company that was built around the idea that good security starts with sound operational practices and education, not complicated products and solutions.
Our team’s cybersecurity expertise is what makes Vancord unique in understanding the challenges faced by higher education institutions. Each one of our highly experienced engineers has worked, on average, 10-20 years in the higher ed industry. During that time, they have served on various committees and working groups such as REN-ISAC, the NERCOMP Board of Directors, and the Connecticut Higher Education Roundtable for Information Security (CHERIS). Over the past two years Vancord has had the privilege of working with many colleges and universities, proactively identifying security risks before they become security issues. You can read more about our senior security engineers here: https://www.vancord.com/about
Vancord’s security experts bring extensive knowledge of information security program development, vulnerability management, incident response, disaster recovery and business continuity, application and network penetration testing, identity management, security awareness training and security policy development.
We can help you develop and maintain a sound cybersecurity strategy that reduces potential exposure to security incidents, mitigates and reduces recovery time if danger strikes, while becoming more diligent and deliberate as an organization in your approach to cybersecurity.
