Event Overview
NERCOMP invites you to join our second NERCOMP CLASS (Collaborate, Listen, Accelerate, Share & Support): Building and Developing a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program. These mini-deep dives allow participants to learn and create a framework that can be implemented at their own college/university.  You will earn a digital credential for your completion of all related activities and assignments.

This session is for people beginning their DEI journeys and those looking to improve upon programs already in place.

Session Outcomes
Upon completion of the Strategies for Creating and Developing a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program CLASS, participants will:

 - Experience heightened self-reflection: Participants will have engaged in introspective exercises and discussions, exploring their own beliefs, biases, and privileges. They will gain a better understanding of how their personal experiences and perspectives impact their interactions with others.

- Create a personal action plan: Each participant will leave the session with a personalized action plan outlining specific steps they intend to take to further their DEI journey. This could include commitments to continuous learning, engaging in difficult conversations, or actively seeking out opportunities to support underrepresented groups.

- Foster a commitment to ongoing growth: Participants will be motivated and committed to continually evolving their understanding of DEI issues and their own role in fostering inclusion. They will recognize that personal DEI reflection is not a one-time effort but an ongoing journey.
