Mohit Bachhav
Mohit Bachhav, Network Administrator at Wesleyan University, is an IT professional with experience in IT networking and security. Mohit joined Wesleyan in June 2014.

At Wesleyan, Mohit is responsible for managing the campus wired and wireless networks, Internet connectivity, VPN access, and firewalls. Mohit has worked on migrating from Cisco switches to Juniper EX series switches and migrating the campus wireless system from Cisco to Aruba wireless.

Mohit holds a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from California State University, Chico. He is a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).

Angelo Santabarbara
Angelo Santabarbara joined Siena College in September 2012 asred the Director of Networks & Systems.  In this role Angelo is responsible for the technology infrastructure at Siena College, including the data network, telecommunications, systems security, and the design, installation and maintenance of the computer systems that provide all centrally managed information technology resources for the campus.  Previous experience includes 12 years as Director of Information Systems as well as 2 years as Systems Analyst at the NYS Public Employees Federation

Angelo served as technical lead and Co-PI in obtaining and implementing an NSF grant for a Science DMZ at Siena College.  He currently sits on the Governance Committee and the Information Security Committee at Siena College and has presented at Nercomp and NYSERNet events

Angelo holds a bachelor's degree and master's degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology.


Dan Siff
Dan is currently the Director of IT Enterprise Services at Colby College, overseeing the network, telecommunications and systems teams. He is also a visiting instructor in Colby's Computer Science department teaching a course and sponsoring independent studies in computer networks and security. He holds a B.A. in Architecture and a M.S. in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has over 25 years of experience in IT in higher education.

   

Ken Taillon
Ken Taillon is a Network Administrator at Wesleyan University.  Ken came to Wesleyan 20 years ago with a background in main-frame computing and electronics. He started at Wesleyan as a Computer Hardware Specialist working out of the service center, subsequently becoming a desktop support representative.  After gaining certification in Novell server administration, Ken moved into the Novell Server Administrator position where he worked with a team of admins, ultimately helping to migrate Wesleyan from Novell to Windows servers running Active Directory. Ken was then transitioned to the networking group where he has been working for more than a decade.  In his two decades at Wesleyan, Ken has presided over large changes to the systems, including several generations of firewall and switch upgrades, the installation of two wireless networks, and the migration from a Cisco environment to a Juniper/Aruba installation. 


Karen Warren
Karen is in her ninth year at Wesleyan University where she assumed the role of Deputy CIO in Nov 2016.  Karen has oversight for the user services, technical services, and academic technology teams.  Combined, they provide the foundational support for all other IT operations in the University, develops strategic input regarding systems and infrastructure, and provide support for teaching and learning through the use of technology.  

Karen is currently chair of NERCOMP's Board (2016-2017) and served as NERCOMP Annual Conference chair in 2016. She has presented on numerous topics at the NERCOMP Annual Conference and other professional workshops. Karen is active in campus life and committed to crossing functional and departmental lines to bring solutions to the Wesleyan community. She served on the University's re-accreditation team in 2012. Karen also participates in events from the National Center for Women in Technology and the local Society for Information Management.

Selected projects include core network refresh, enterprise WLAN upgrade, ServiceNow implementation, and migration to Office 365. 

Prior to coming to Wesleyan, Karen spent 15 years at the American School for the Deaf in West Hartford, CT where she was IT Director for 10 of those years.  Karen focused much time on the importance of broadband access in K-12 education, forging a strong and lasting relationship with Connecticut Education Network.  Having spoken at numerous conferences on the topic, Karen was invited to participate on a panel at the FCC on the importance of ERate to broadband in schools.
