Next Generation Telephone: Two Alternative Approaches to Traditional Phone Systems

Angelo Santabarbara

Angelo Santabarbara joined Siena College in September 2012 as the Director of Networks & Systems.  In this role Angelo is responsible for the technology infrastructure at Siena College, including the data network, telecommunications, systems security, and the design, installation and maintenance of the computer systems that provide all centrally managed information technology resources for the campus.  Previous experience includes 12 years as Director of Information Systems as well as 2 years as Systems Analyst at the NYS Public Employees Federation.

Angelo served as technical lead in obtaining and implementing an NSF grant for a Science DMZ at Siena College.  He currently sits on the Governance Committee and the Information Security Committee at Siena College and has presented at Nercomp and NYSERNet events.

 Angelo holds a bachelor's degree and master's degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology.


Bob Williams

With over 30 years in Voice Communications including a long career as a Cryptographic Communications Analyst for the USAF, Bob joined Microsoft in January 2006 as the first Voice Technical Sales resource hired into the new Unified Communications team, covering all businesses within the US as well as working closely with the Unified Communications Product Group and Delta Force in developing the planning Microsoft’s move into the VoIP space, since joining Bob has worked within the Enterprise and Public Sector space, Bob is now solely focused on delivering the Microsoft Vision of Unified Communications within the US Education Market covering the Eastern US along with the South Central Region.
