Bilsi Balakrishnan
Bilsi is the Software Development Lead at OpenScholar where, for the past 3 years, she has lead the internal team at Harvard that has developed and transformed the platform into an enterprise grade solution that can now meet the needs of large educational institutions. Bilsi’s background is in software engineering for large enterprises including TJX and AT&T.


David Blezard
David is a Senior IT Manager at University of New Hampshire within the Academic Technology department.  He is involved in implementation, management, and administration of a range of academic-related technologies including computer labs and classrooms, web hosting services, media production and delivery, and application hosting.  David has presented numerous times at other regional and national events pertaining to technology support in higher education.  In addition, he teaches on network and system administration in the UNH’s Information Technology program.


​Jessica Drislane
Jessica is Director of Strategy at OpenScholar. She has been leading the effort to lift the research project, along with its original development team, out of Harvard and turn it into a commercial entity such that the platform can serve the needs of other educational and research institutions beyond just Harvard University.

Jessica’s background is in strategy within the technology and eCommerce sectors, having most recently worked for the eCommerce company, Invaluable, in Boston. Prior to Invaluable, Jessica spend most of her career as a private equity investor in the technology sector.
