Laurie Strauss, Adobe Express Specialist for Higher Education

Laurie Strauss is an Adobe Express Specialist for Higher Education, dedicated to empowering colleges and universities on the East Coast with innovative creative technologies. In this role, Laurie focuses on equipping students with the essential skills that will pave the way for their future career success. Prior to this, Laurie led Adobe's national K12 initiatives, where she had strong partnerships with school districts and championed creative practices to prepare students for both secondary and post-secondary education. Laurie’s commitment to fostering creativity and innovation in education has been a driving force throughout her career.

Jim Babbage, Senior Solutions Consultant, Education, Adobe Systems

Jim Babbage’s two passions, teaching and photography, led him to his first career in commercial photography. With the release of Photoshop 2.5, Jim became involved in the world of digital, and he soon began designing for the web in addition to taking photographs. Jim is the author of several books and video training titles and has written hundreds of online articles and tutorials on Adobe Lightroom, Fireworks, Photoshop, Digital Fluency, Generative AI and other general web and photography topics.

A former college professor of 21 years, Jim taught imaging, web design, and photography at Centennial College, and imaging and web design at Humber College in Toronto, Ontario, until he joined Adobe in May of 2011 as a Solutions Consultant for Education. Jim has spoken at a variety of technology conferences, including Adobe MAX and numerous education-focused conferences.
