Adopting a New LMS: What Have We Done? - Webinar

April Bellafiore
April Bellafiore is the Director of Multi-Modal Education for the College of Natural Sciences (CNS) at UMass Amherst. In her role she supports CNS faculty and departments as they seek to implement, expand, and refine online and flexible learning strategies. In addition to her current experience with the UMass Amherst migration to Canvas, April led two previous learning management system transitions, from WebCT to Blackboard, and from Blackboard to Angel (before going back to Blackboard again), while at Bristol Community College.  

 

Steve Courchesne

Steve Courchesne is the instructional designer at Framingham State University. He wears a second hat as a co-coordinator of the M.Ed. concentration in Educational Technology. He is passionate about design and how to create and deliver effective learning experiences. He completed his Ed.D. at Johns Hopkins University with a specialization in Mind, Brain and Teaching. His dissertation research focused on how faculty can help college students to self-regulate their learning, by using metacognition, regulating their own motivation, and developing their self-efficacy to succeed in college. Before coming to Framingham, Steve worked for Human Rights Education Associates (HREA) for seven years. He managed HREA's e-learning team, led the production of self-directed e-learning courses, and supervised the 50+ course instructors in HREA's network. 

 

Andrew Hinote

Andrew Hinote is a lifelong learner who has spent the past fifteen years working in the fields of educational technology and online learning. As Interim Director of Online Learning at Bristol Community College, he manages the Online Learning department and is leading the college through a Learning Management System transition from Blackboard Learn to Canvas. He has extensive experience in instructional design, having spent ten years at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth developing hundreds of online, blended, and active learning experiences with faculty. Andrew is passionate about using technology to improve teaching and learning, and he is a strong advocate for digital accessibility. He has presented at various local and national conferences on topics such as online learning, instructional design, and digital accessibility. Andrew is also a committed mentor and enjoys helping students explore their career options in computing and technology. 

 

Eric LePage

Eric V. LePage is the Executive Director of the Teaching & Technology Center (TTC) at Bridgewater State University.  Under his leadership, the TTC empowers Bridgewater State's faculty and librarians by providing training, instructional design, and support services for enhancing teaching and learning using academic technologies in traditional and online classes.  Eric collaborates with regional partners on academic technology initiatives, oversees the provision of academic technology consultation services, academic technology research, the promotion of academic technologies and associated pedagogical practices, and the administration of the Blackboard Ultra Learning Management System.  Eric has worked in Information Technology at Bridgewater State since 1999. 

Eric has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses at Bridgewater State since 2006. 

Robin  Robinson

Robin Robinson is the Director of the Education Technology Office, Learning Spaces and Innovation within ITS at Framingham State University. Together with her team of five, she is dedicated to helping faculty identify and implement the best practices for technology-mediated teaching and learning. Robin and her team work collaboratively to solve problems and create a welcoming environment for faculty to engage in meaningful learning experiences that support students' intellectual growth. Robin earned a Master's in Technical and Professional Writing from Northeastern University in Boston. She has presented at regional and national conferences. In addition, she is co-coordinator of the Master of Education in Educational Technology with her colleague Steve Courchesne. Outside the institution, Robin serves on the NERCOMP Board as vice-chair and was recently appointed to Instructures' Customer Advisory Board.
