Mish McIntyre
Mish McIntyre is an accomplished instructional designer, artist, educator and gaming addict with over 30 yrs. of gamer experience and 12 yr. working in Higher Education. She is currently the instructional designer for the Community College of Rhode Island. Previously, Mish was a senior instructional designer at UMass Boston. She has experience working with faculty, providing professional development planning, supporting learning initiatives and strategic goals across the institution in all modalities.

Mish has expertise in a number of areas including faculty learning communities, makerspaces, virtual reality in education, gamification, active learning and learning space design. Mish is a serious games judge for the Serious Games Association as well as a member of OLC, NERCOMP and Educause. Most importantly, she has a real passion for instructional design and helping faculty. Mish received an MFA from Massachusetts College of Art & Design and her M.Ed. from Suffolk University.


Ed O'Neil
Edward R. O'Neill holds a Ph.D. in Film and Media Studies. After postdoctoral fellowships in social thought and media, he taught at USC Film School and UC Santa Cruz, among other places. After a decade of teaching, Edward held staff positions in instructional technology and design at Stanford, USC, and Yale. His recent consulting work involves supporting the professional development of professors and staff in higher education with regard to pedagogy, learning technology, and creative problem-solving. He co-hosts a podcast on teaching in higher education called the Teach Better Podcast, and his book Brain-based Design Thinking is available as an Amazon Kindle ebook. 


Peter Shea
Peter is an instructional designer, a teacher, editor, and writer. He is an advocate of highly immersive learning experiences, particularly in regard to traditional academic subjects. Currently, he is working on the promotion of iOER (interactive open educational resources).  He has worked as a book reviewer for eLearn magazine and co-authored a chapter in the book, Transforming Virtual World Learning: Thinking in 3D (Cutting-Edge Technologies in Higher Education). He has served as a learning game judge for the Serious Play conference and as a co-editor of the start-up journal, Future Learning. Recently he co-authored a book chapter on games/simulations as tools for educational assessment. Currently, he is working on a book about emerging technologies for assessment and learning analytics.
