Johnson & Wales University uses components of Blackboard’s Analytics for Learn product in its proactive advising model for students enrolled in online degree programs. Both faculty and online academic advisors use A4L reports to identify at-risk students. This presentation will show the reports that are used and discuss how the data is used for proactive advising.

Quinsigamond Community College will share critical lessons learned from the initial implementation of Outcomes Assessment that led to a deeper understanding of assessment practices and a shared ownership of the assessment process.  Working directly with faculty and professional staff, Quinsigamond Community College developed an in-course module that provided faculty with the assessment tools and information needed to design effective writing assignments for more accurate assessment of student learning based upon the college’s participation in the 2015 Multi-State Collaborative to Advance Learning Outcomes Assessment.
