Event Overview
Join this unique workshop designed to fully explore the role of the CIO. It’s not enough to simply rise through the technology management ranks; successful CIOs possess skills and attributes that far exceed technical knowledge and expertise. The workshop will begin by summarizing many of the issues CIOs should expect to address during the course of their career, including culture, communication, governance, and much more. Participants will then be invited to identify which of those issues to explore in depth. Attendees will also be invited to submit questions, problems, and share experiences to facilitate group teaching and learning. Aspiring, new and experienced CIOs alike will all learn about the elements that contribute to success and satisfaction in this leadership position.
Learning objectives:
• Develop a better understanding of the CIO role, along with skills and approaches for success
• Ideas to improve job satisfaction
• Aspiring CIOs will recognize what the job entails and how to better prepare themselves for a CIO position
