Speaker: Garrett Bozylinsky

Garrett Bozylinsky has been the Chief Information at the University of Rhode Island for the past nine years. Prior to his current position, he was CIO at the University of Northern Iowa for ten years and, before that, CIO at Indiana University of Pennsylvania for ten years.
Altogether, he has 35 years of higher education technology experience at private and public, doctoral I and research institutions including land, sea, and urban grant universities. He has been responsible for research computing, instructional technology, networking, business operations automation, information security, and a university library.

He has participated in various presentations and panels covering a wide range of topics, served on numerous boards and commissions, has obtained millions of dollars in competitive grants, and was the recipient of an EduCause Excellence in Networking award. He has a master’s degree from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree from Elizabethtown College. He is currently working on a book tentatively titled, Elements of CIO Management.
