Event Overview

College and university campuses are flooded with digital natives, who continue to ask more and more of our infrastructure. The number and types of devices that students are bringing to campus are growing at alarming rates, and constantly strain networks that were not designed to handle the traffic that is now routine. At the same time, faculty are devising new and equally demanding methods of using the campus networks for teaching and learning, while administrative systems are increasingly cloud-based and tax our limited bandwidth.

How do we evolve our networks to meet these growing demands? Ubiquitous wireless is just the beginning. We need innovation, we need new ways of thinking, and we need to understand how cutting edge technologies can be used to make our campus networks the best they can be.

At this workshop, you will hear from technicians and administrators at colleges and universities that are meeting these challenges head on. You will also have an opportunity to discuss innovations on your own campuses, and learn how to incorporate what you’ve heard into your own campus networks.

Audience
We encourage this to be a technical audience of network engineers and administrators, as well as managers or decision-makers in the area of network infrastructure.
