Kimberly Ellis, Instructional Designer

Kimberly is passionate about creating beautiful, functional, and engaging courses. Currently, serving as an Instructional Designer dedicated to Kern County in California, she works remotely from her home in beautiful south Mississippi. Kimberly holds degrees in Instructional Technology (MS), Business Technology Education (BS), and Fashion Merchandising and Marketing Management (AA), and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Education. She loves learning and helping others learn!

Outside of work, Kimberly enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. Bargain/thrift shopping, decorating, eating out, and traveling are just a few of her favs. Most recently, Kimberly has found enjoyment in developing her green thumb - propagating plants and getting her hands in the dirt!

Michael Kocher, Instructional Designer

Michael loves making your instructional dreams come true. He is an avid instructional designer with a passion for creating engaging, effective, and accessible learning environments. Before working at Instructure, Michael designed and taught gamified flipped classes in 6-12 Physics, Math, Science, and Computer Science. He has a long history of promoting the principles of Universal Design for Learning in Higher Education and for fortune 500 companies.

He is a proud father of two daughters and enjoys woodworking, 3D printing, photography, and outdoor adventures.
