Event Overview
During our time planning and executing our career paths, we may encounter some difficulties in moving forward professionally. Are we self-starters or do we follow prescribed steps within our institutions to achieve career success? Whether we are in a hierarchical or flat organization, what impact can we achieve through community buy-in and what does that growth look like?

Building strategic partnerships within our institutions, professional organizations, community involvement and other networking activities can help us grow our career. The ability to work in cross-functional teams motivates our desired effect to infect others passions for the work we do and allows for our skills to shine. We will explore the strategies needed to continue developing your career and keep it moving forward.

Session Outcomes:
- Understanding the opportunities for success that can be gained by building relationships through professional organizations, community involvement, mentors and strategic partnerships within our institutions.
- Describe how to build these methods internally and outside of our organizations.
- identify the strategies needed to develop our careers using opportunities for success.
