Event Overview

Collaboration is necessary in order to target student and faculty audiences and raise awareness of available products, services, support, and expertise. Many campus departments are vying for the attention of these same groups and should partner to increase effectiveness and maximize efforts. Forging relationships with other campus constituencies makes effective use of resources and creates communities of practice aimed at collaborating to achieve institutional goals. Concrete examples of interdepartmental initiatives will be shared and strategies will be identified that can be adapted to other campus environments from the perspective of IT, Faculty Development, and Library practitioners.

Participants in this SIG will be:
• Empowered to identify advocates and collaborators on campus
• Motivated to create new or expand existing collaborative initiatives
• Encouraged to share strategies for new initiatives & outreach with other session participants.
