Event Overview:
Building a strong team culture doesn’t require a big budget—it requires intention, creativity, and opportunities for people to connect. Using Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Information Technology Services department as a case study, this interactive session explores practical ways to strengthen belonging, collaboration, and morale across today’s evolving workplace. Participants will discover creative engagement strategies that can work for teams of all sizes, including hybrid and distributed teams and departments with limited resources. Attendees will leave with adaptable ideas for creating meaningful connections, strengthening team culture, and making engagement an intentional part of the employee experience.

Session Outcomes:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
 - Identify creative, low-cost strategies for fostering connection, belonging, and team morale.
 - Apply engagement approaches that work across in-person, hybrid, distributed, and student-staff environments.
 - Develop practical ideas for making team connection an intentional and sustainable part of departmental culture.
