Event Overview
In the ever-changing world of higher education, more and more institutions are looking to data to guide their decision making.  But business intelligence (BI) projects can be overwhelming, and many fail to launch.  Come learn how a few institutions have successfully implemented their data initiatives, and what challenges and successes they encountered along the way.  Topics will include how to determine data access and stewardship, the importance of developing common data definitions, and ways to achieve institutional buy-in.  This discussion will also include examples of how these institutions are using reports and dashboards today to meet campus needs.

Session Outcomes:
Learn how to "market" data analytics to acquire campus partners and institutional buy-in
- Understand what pitfalls to watch for during a business intelligence implementation, and how to overcome them
- Discover how other higher ed institutions are using data to advance their goals
