Sherry Horeanopolous

Sherry Horeanopoulos, CISA, is the Information Security Officer at Fitchburg State University.  She has worked at FSU for 20 years, as a Technology Trainer, Help Desk Administrator, Systems Administrator and IT Project Manager before transitioning to the Security role in 2009.  The head of a department of two, she manages all of the security needs of the institution, oversees student email, handles account provisioning and performs “other duties as assigned”.

Sherry was the founding member of the Information Security Officer Council which was originally created to serve the state colleges and universities and currently sports a membership of 88 Security Officers from Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire public and private institutions.  As if this wasn’t enough, she is also the statewide President of the Association of Professional Administrators.

When she’s not engrossed in a laptop screen, Sherry and friends can be found hiking or skiing the trails of Wachusett Mountain, composing through the lens of her camera or wielding watercolor brush.

Tim LaGrant

Tim LaGrant, the Technical Director for Becker College, has been in the IT industry for over 20 years. He has 9 years of experience in the aerospace manufacturing sector, and two plus years of experience working in Higher Education.  His primary function as Technical Director is to oversee network operations and security, which includes the implementation & maintenance of servers, storage and network & wireless equipment along with day-to-day operations of the technology across multiple campuses. 

Andrew Obuchowski

Andrew Obuchowski is the practice leader and supports global operations for cybercrime and data breach investigations, digital forensics and incident response services within the RSM US LLP security and privacy consulting group. Andrew possesses more than 20 years of experience, including 12 years of law enforcement investigations, instruction at numerous police academies, and long-time memberships in several computer and financial crime task forces.

Patty Patria

Patty Patria is the Vice President for Information Technology at Becker College. She has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry, with more than 15 in higher education. She is responsible for providing strategic leadership in long-term and short-term planning, managing administrative and academic technology, overseeing the Becker libraries and proving oversight for the management of computer networks, servers and personal computers.  Patty also oversees information security and compliance requirements for the College.

 Patty holds a Masters in Business Administration from Suffolk University. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
