Anne P. Danehy
Professor Danehy has over three decades of experience conducting communication research both nationally and internationally. For more than 20 years, Professor Danehy had her own communication research consulting firm, Strategic Opinion Research. Prior to that she served as Vice President of Bannon Research, and Director and founder of the survey research division at The Rendon Group, an international public relations company.

Using various qualitative and quantitative tools, Professor Danehy helps organizations get inside the heads of their target audience, learning about their audiences’ attitudes, perceptions, pain points and motivations, leading to the development of effective marketing, public relations and advertising campaigns. Professor Danehy excels at managing large, multi-layered research projects, taking them from design to analysis for strategic application. Professor Danehy’s research has been instrumental in developing and evaluating drug use prevention campaigns, increasing awareness around the dangers of distracted driving, including texting and driving, and decreasing the uninsured in Massachusetts. In addition, she has worked with large corporations, using public opinion research to create positive public images and increase market share. Professor Danehy also conducts advertising research used to develop and test advertisements. Professor Danehy has been a part of many campaigns that have won national awards, and she likes to think that research played a role in their success.

Professor Danehy has worked in diverse sectors, including political, non-profits, start-ups, health care and government. While the industries are different, the goals are the same- to develop effective communication campaign.
