Event Overview
Deploying effective online exams for STEM curriculums can be a challenge! Over the past couple years, Worcester Polytechnic Institute has been working to improve the workflow for their Math students to complete high stakes online exams, while also submitting paper-based notes for faculty to evaluate how they arrived at their answers.
In this session we’ll discuss:
- Pedagogical and technical best practices we’ve developed,
- How these best practices were used in conjunction with Honorlock’s remote proctoring software, and
- Addressing faculty and student academic integrity and privacy concerns.
Session Outcomes
- Developing best practices to ensure exam academic integrity in high stakes, online STEM curriculum.
- Identifying ways to integrate pedagogical methods with technology to build faculty confidence and trust.
- Discuss ways to engage with students and faculty on the topics of security, privacy and maintain academic integrity in an online environment.
