Susan Zaslaw (Program Moderator)
Strategic IT Consultant, Project, and Technology Consulting Office, Princeton University
Susan Zaslaw is currently a Strategic IT Consultant in the Office of Information Technology at Princeton University. In this role, she advises campus departments on the strategic and effective use of technology to achieve their business objectives. She leads departmental IT assessments and strategic IT planning efforts, oversees business case development and project management for strategic projects, facilitates technology-enabled process improvement initiatives, and delivers methodologies, tools, and training on managing projects and improving processes. Prior to Princeton, Susan was the Director of the IT Project and Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, where she worked for 24 years. She received her PMP
certification in 2011 and a PBA certification in 2019. She also holds ITIL certifications in Service Management, and Release Control and Validation. She has a BA from Norwich University in Liberal Studies, with an emphasis in Business and Management.
Mark Goedert, Director, IT Planning & Strategy, University of Illinois, Chicago
Mark Goedert is the Director of IT Strategy and Planning as part of the CIO Leadership Team at the University of Illinois Chicago. In this role, he ensures that IT investments align with the educational mission and advance the business goals of the University. He leads central IT efforts on strategy and enterprise architecture oversees the Project and Portfolio Management Office (PMO), and provides process improvement and data visualization services to the campus.
With over 25 years in higher education IT, Mark has provided campus-wide leadership in the areas of IT strategy, policy, processes, program/portfolio management, and information technology. He has also led the EDUCAUSE Project Management Community Group (PMCG), serving as co-chair for three years. He earned his BS from the University of Illinois Chicago College of Business, with a concentration in Management Information Systems (MIS).
Mahdavi Marasinghe, Chief Information Officer, University of North Dakota
Madhavi Marasinghe is currently the Chief Information Officer at the University of North Dakota. In this role, she oversees the University Information Technology (UIT) department while providing the vision and guidance to support technology across the university. As UND’s CIO, Madhavi is responsible for
networking, telecommunications, systems administration, communication and collaborative services, classroom technologies, information security, project management, and user support. Madhavi earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Missouri University of
Science and Technology (MS&T) and a Master of Science in Higher Education Leadership from UND. She has over 20 years of experience in higher education, including experience with strategic planning, success with leading multiple large IT initiatives, system integration, consolidation, and collaboration with various entities to find the most cost-effective solutions for technology needs.
Sal Rosario, Interim Associate CIO, Project and Technology Consulting Office, Princeton University
Sal Rosario is currently the interim Associate CIO for the Project and Technology Consulting Office at Princeton's Office of Information Technology. This office is responsible for IT governance, the annual IT planning process, and the IT project portfolio. He oversees teams of strategic IT consultants, project managers, and business/process analysts enabling the successful completion of strategic IT projects on campus. He recently managed the university’s strategic IT planning project. Prior to Princeton, Sal was with a technology consulting firm for eight years. Sal holds an MBA degree in management information systems from Seton Hall University. He is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and as a Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA), and he holds several advanced ITIL certifications.
