Cole Groom
Cole Groom has been a part of the Impact (formerly EesySoft) team for the last 3 years, focused on helping institutions to implement strategies to increase technology adoption. As a student, Cole has over 6 years of experience using Canvas, personally faced the challenges that come along with online learning. After completing his thesis on technology adoption in higher education, he has seen the key areas where institutions can improve technology usage amongst faculty and students. Today as your Impact technical expert, he will show you how data, communication, and support can change the way your institution uses technology.

 

Sal Spatarella
Sal Spatarella is a Senior Account Executive at Canvas who is currently supporting the Northeast territory. Prior to joining Instructure, Sal worked as a Digital Solution Specialist for Wiley, servicing and supporting their online digital learning platforms. Over the past 7 years, he’s worked closely with Higher Ed faculty and staff in helping to incorporate an online blended learning experience. 

Dave Trygar 
Dave Trygar is the Regional Director of Partnerships for Higher Education in the northeast.  His primary responsibilities are to speak with all stakeholders at colleges and universities about their strategies around LMS and student success and retention and presenting Canvas as a solution.

Based in Philadelphia, Dave has been in higher education for 12 years, having represented solutions including content delivery, audience response, data, and learning management/online learning, and student success. His passion for ‘better lives through learning’ motivates him to help institutions lower the barrier of entry for all in digital transformation.

Fun fact: As a graduate of Penn State University, Dave holds a BS in Meteorology and spent his first 15 years as a professional, forecasting weather for television stations in the northeast and midwest.
