We will begin this day-long workshop with a session that explores who are the stakeholders in the learning experience in the higher ed ecosystem. Speakers:
Carol Damm, Director, Programs and Assessment, GPS, Brandeis University

We will introduce learner experience design principles in relation to stakeholders’ needs as they pertain to engagement with learning support systems (the learning management system, classroom support systems, program, and course development). Through hands-on group activities, we will begin to explore the inter-relational experience of the stakeholders in the higher-ed ecosystem.

Speakers:
Gary David,  Professor of Sociology, Department Chair, Bentley University
Melissa Kane, Instructional Designer, Brown University
Brian Salerno, Director, Online Learning & Instructional Design, Brandeis University

In this two-part session (with a 15-minute break), participants will explore the What and How of learner experience design in higher ed by first developing prototype solutions based on the Why session, pitching these prototypes, and discussing how to implement the solutions. You will determine how to measure their efficacy in order to support a cycle of re-designing the solutions to create improved iterations.
