Event Overview

Please join Adobe and NERCOMP at Thomas College to participate in an exciting, interactive Digital Fluency event. This event is a peer to peer experience, focused on leading the digital transformation required to prepare students for the digital economy, regardless of their major. Concepts such as Digital Storytelling, personal brand, generating global awareness will be discussed.

Many schools in the NERCOMP membership have either equipped or are preparing to equip all of their faculty with next generation creative services like Adobe Creative Cloud.

The goal is to build a community of leaders and facilitators across the NERCOMP collective committed to realizing the creative potential in every student on campus, regardless of their major area of study. The collaboration will drive new ideas for harnessing student and faculty creativity across digital media, share best practices for enabling faculty and hone students’ employable skills for a more successful future.

Retooling for the creative economy

Professor Kinney shares his journey in coming to grips with and responding to the challenges of our technology-driven world and the hyperbolic evolution that it drives. He explores the question of WHY and HOW we need to re-write the DNA of traditional academic structures in order to prepare our institutions and our clients for the rigours of the Creative Economy. He shares his insights into improving the efficacy of student online agency and branding through engagement with creative problem solving, storytelling and 21st century tools, platforms and protocols.

Come to listen and talk with experts in Digital Literacy, Digital Storytelling, and students and faculty from your own schools. Leave inspired and energized to do even more at your institution to help students succeed.
