Analyzing LMS Data to Inform Instructions and Learning - Webinar

Jing Qi
Dr. Jing Qi presently serves as Learning Analytic and LMS Specialist at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. Prior to joining the Dartmouth Educational Technologies team, Dr. Qi had worked as the Director of IR and Information Management at the Clarion University of Pennsylvania, and the Director of IR and Instructional Technologies at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. She holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and received her doctorate degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Vermont. Dr. Qi has been working in the field of educational research and instructional technologies for many years. Using her solid background in computer science, extensive experience in statistics using R, and strong interest in data visualization, she integrates the core elements of learning analytics and educational technology in the exploration of Analytics in Instructions and Learning.


Brian Reid
Brian Reid, PhD, is an Associate Director of Information Technology at the Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine. With a background in chemistry and educational technology, Dr. Reid has written software to animate molecular motion, visualize mathematical models, plot biological and geological data, and simulate lab experiments. Currently he is focused on analyzing and visualizing curricular data at Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine.

Holly Taylor

Holly A. Taylor, Ph.D. Holly is a Cognitive Psychologist. She received her BA in Mathematics from Dartmouth College and her PhD in Psychology from Stanford University.

She holds a long term interest in understanding how people process complex visual and spatial information. She is current Associate Director of Undergraduate Advising and Research

and Director of the Women in Science Project at Dartmouth College. In this role, she also teaches courses on higher-order thinking.
