Expert writing coaches will take us through their process of drafting an idea in writing. Through interactive exercises, attendees will learn various techniques to craft a powerful story you can draw from to include in your proposal.

Opportunities may come up where you’ll have a chance to pitch your idea in person. During this portion, we’ll talk about the nuances around written and spoken communication to help you pitch your idea in a short, concise, conversational manner.

We’ll discuss the challenges the review board encounters when reviewing and selecting proposals for the annual conference. You’ll get an opportunity to ask the panelists questions to help you when building your proposal.

Congratulations! You have an excellent idea, some amazing writing skills, and a thorough understanding of what the program reviewers are looking for. Now it’s time to craft the plan for delivery! This session will explore how to draft effective learning outcomes for different types of conference sessions, including posters, virtual presentations, Ted-talk style talks, and workshops. We will review why you might want to choose one particular delivery mechanism over another based on your objectives and discuss how different particular engagement strategies and tools can be used in each medium to best connect with your audience.
