An Introduction to the NERCOMP Mentorship Program

Mark Davis

Mark Davis is an experienced IT leader, mentor, presenter, and author with vast expertise in various areas such as IT service operations, Information Security, Client Relations, Organizational Leadership, team building, and the development of strategic partnerships. He is well-versed in planning and implementing best practice methodologies, and data analysis. Mark has a wealth of experience in leading cross-functional teams to design and integrate technology solutions.

As a seasoned team builder and thought partner, Mark is dedicated to professional development, creating synergy, and fostering cultures of inclusive excellence. He is deeply committed to fostering cultures of Accessibility, Emotional Intelligence, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in order to support and uplift others. Mark actively serves on CUPA-HR, Nercomp and Swarthmore DEI committees, where he focuses on training and raising awareness about critical business practices that require DEI considerations.

Mark has been a featured presenter at Swarthmore's inclusive leadership events, as well as conferences such as NERCOMP, EDUCAUSE, and SIGUCCS.

 

 

Amy Schack

Amy Schack currently serves as the Professional Development and Member Relations Manager for the Northeast Regional Computing Program (NERCOMP).  In this role, she works directly with professional development organizers to plan and execute workshops and webinars, as well as the Board of Trustees to advance the mission and vision of the organization She is also the Co-Chair of the Professional Development Committee, Co-Vice-Chair of the NERCOMP Annual Conference, and Chair of the Innovation Task Force, and Co-Chair of the Mentorship Program Development Task Force and the Digital Credentials Sub-committee.

Prior to joining NERCOMP, Amy worked as the Director of Residential Life at several colleges and universities in New York.  Amy holds a Master of Science in Education with a concentration in Counseling from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Eastern Connecticut State University.  She is also a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy.
