Event Overview

This workshop will focus on how BU Medical Campus and other universities have been using metrics to allocate limited IT resources and improve the health of Support Services. Most IT departments have ticketing systems logging tickets, but is that data being used to get a picture of the health of the IT department? The day will look at the future of quantitative and qualitative metrics and the importance to understand and integrate these findings with the strategic priorities of the institution. As IT evolves so do metrics.Key learning objectives and/or takeaways:


-The importance of metrics and why you need them
-Which measurements are irrelevant and which ones management need to know
-Tips and tricks for creating great metrics
-How the Service Desk is the key to understanding what is working well
-A look at some great Service desk metrics and how to use them
