Event Overview
Onboarding is more than just paperwork and policies—it's about creating an environment where new hires feel welcomed, supported, and equipped to succeed. In this post-COVID era, HR departments carry a heavier load, but departmental onboarding remains critical for acclimating new employees to your team’s unique culture, expectations, and resources. This NERCOMP CLASS will explore best practices for tailoring onboarding to your department, addressing the specific needs of in-person, hybrid, and remote employees. Through interactive discussions and collaborative learning, participants will develop strategies to create an engaging and supportive onboarding experience that sets new hires up for success.  Attendees will receive an Onboarding New Hires digital credential upon completion of all requirements.

Session Outcomes
By the end of the CLASS, participants will:
 - Equip managers and trainers with the skills to design a welcoming and engaging onboarding process that aligns with departmental culture and expectations.
 - Enable attendees to build a customized repository of resources to support new hires during their first month and beyond.
 - Provide actionable insights into best practices for onboarding hybrid, remote, and in-person employees, fostering adaptability and inclusion.

Badge Requirements:
To earn the badge, attendees must:
 - Attend all four sessions.
 - Actively participate in synchronous or asynchronous discussions, contributing to the shared learning experience.
 - Submission of a final project
