11:15am - 12:15pm Deploying a Student and Employee Portal in 60 Days

Are you looking to integrate your intranet with your employee portal? This session will cover all of these items and show you how you can rapidly deploy a dynamic portal in a short window of time.

1:15pm - 2:15pm   Leveraging O365 for Intranets-Website & SharePoint Architecture for Multiple Audiences
Speaker:  Amy Donovan, CIO, Lesley College

This portion of the panel will focus on the transition from file shares and an internet/intranet architecture to the combination of a new website for all audiences and SharePoint for internal users.  The university developed a consolidated information architecture for the website and eliminated the intranet site as part of an university website redesign. Additionally, SharePoint Sites are in place for departmental use as well as access to password protected files. The university also supports the use of other Office 365 applications.

2:15pm - 3:15pm     Providence College Portal: From Concept to Launch

John Matteson, Senior Programmer/Analyst & Project Manager, Providence College

Over the course of 5 years, Providence College developed and implemented an internal portal using the Office365/Sharepoint platform. We will discuss the initial and ongoing challenges surrounding creation and ongoing maintenance, the importance of project management, forming a portal committee, training, implementing security and ongoing support.
