Event Overview
How do you transform a 50-year-old library into a vibrant hub for research, technology, and collaboration? Burke Library’s summer 2023 redesign addressed evolving student needs, incorporating cutting-edge teaching and technology spaces while highlighting collections. This six-year journey involved strategic planning, a summer-long closure, and overcoming unexpected challenges to create an innovative and student-focused environment. This webinar will offer practical insights for those considering or planning renovations, covering project management, communication strategies, and lessons learned along the way.

Intended Audience:
Library staff, administrators, and facilities planners preparing for redesign or renovation projects.

Session Outcomes:
Participants will:
 - Develop strategies to innovate library (and other) spaces that meet evolving student needs.
 - Explore how redesigns can increase access and enhance student learning outcomes.
 - Learn effective communication practices for coordinating complex projects and managing stakeholders.
