Remote Work: Opportunities, Implications, and Considerations (a Leadership Ecosystem Webinar)
Sharon Blanton
Sharon serves as the Vice President for Operations at the College of New Jersey where she leads information technology, campus police, institutional research and analytics, and facilities management. She holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Capella University, a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from the University of Virginia, and a B.A. in Mass Communication and Instructional Technology from Towson State University. Sharon previously served as CIO for The College of New Jersey, Hawaii Pacific University, Portland State University, the Pima Community College District, and Scottsdale Community College.
Fred Kass (Moderator)
Fred is Interim CIO and head of Library and Information Technology Services (LITS) for Trinity college in Hartford, CT. He has worked for Library and Information Technology Divisions at small liberal arts colleges for 25 years. Fred has a master’s degree in business administration from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts and has participated in many leadership programs. He has been a NERCOMP Board of Trustee for six years and a founding member of the NERCOMP Leadership EcoSystem.
Mohamed El Ouirdi
Mohamed El Ouirdi is the Head of Information Technology Services at MIT Libraries. He oversees Infrastructure engineering and cloud operations, enterprise systems, desktop support and ITSM, and metadata services. Mohamed has a MA from Duke University, and a BS in Information Systems from Charter Oak State College.
Prior to coming to MIT, Mohamed held several positions at Duke University Libraries, the last one as Head of Enterprise and Discovery Services.
Ron Yanosky
Ron Yanosky is a director in EAB’s Research and Advisory Services organization, where he frequently gives presentations and conducts workshops for campus partners both online and in person. His areas of expertise include information technology, business affairs, and facilities management. He is actively involved in EAB’s best practices research, and recently led a project investigating the emerging role of remote work in higher education workforce strategies.
Prior to joining EAB, Ron held research positions at EDUCAUSE and at Gartner Inc. During the 1990s, he was an assistant professor of history at Harvard University. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of California at Berkeley.
