Event Overview
NERCOMP recently approved the new Microsoft agreement, introducing several important updates that impact licensing, processes, and tenant requirements for member institutions. To ensure all members have a clear understanding of what’s changing and what actions may be required for this years renewal, we are hosting a one‑to‑many follow‑up webinar for those who were unable to attend the in‑person conference early March.

This session will walk through key elements of the new agreement, including platform server and per‑core licensing considerations, the overall agenda and timeline ahead, and available Microsoft‑funded workshops and touching on the wide variety of offerings there. We will also review updates to the SHI purchase order (PO) process, recent changes members should be aware of, and what to expect next.

In addition, the webinar will cover activation and welcome letter emails once renewal orders are placed, required tenant paperwork, and Work or School Account (WSA) authentication, including Microsoft’s validation process. The goal of this session is to provide clarity, reinforce expectations, and help members confidently navigate the transition under the newly approved agreement.

This webinar is intended as an informational follow‑up and will include a chat for any inquiries.
