Speaker: Paul Beaudoin, PhD
Paul Beaudoin is an Assistant Professor of Humanities at Fitchburg State University where he teaches courses in music and art. He is the recipient of several teaching awards including the prestigious Exemplary Course award from Blackboard, Inc. Dr. Beaudoin is a recognized leader in eLearning and a frequent international workshop and keynote speaker.
Speaker: April Bellafiore
As Dean of eLearning, April directs the 100% online and distributed education program at Bristol Community College. She also oversees the Center for Technology Expertise (CITE), which provides technical support and professional development opportunities for faculty and staff members who wish to incorporate technology or distance learning into their teaching or workplace practices. April is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Leadership and Change from Antioch University.
Speaker: Lance Eaton
Lance Eaton is Coordinator of Instructional Design at North Shore Community College. He has advance degrees in American Studies and Public Administration. Currently, he is finishing his Masters of Education in Instructional Design. He has written for digital, popular, trade and academic publications while presenting at local, national and international conferences on such topics as audiobooks, comics, literature, history, horror, online pedagogy, online identities, social media, and universal design.
Speaker: Millie Gonzalez
Millie Gonzalez is the Reference and Electronic Resources Librarian at Framingham State University’s Henry Whittemore Library. Her areas of research interests include the digital divide, diversity and fair use. She is also responsible for the institution’s digital repository.
Speaker: Laura Kohl
Laura Kohl is Head of Reference Services at Douglas & Judith Krupp Library at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Her areas of interest extend from library marketing and customer satisfaction to the incorporation of information literacy and social media evaluation in the classroom. She is the co-author of “Establishing Credibility in the Information Jungle: Blogs, Microblogs, and the CRAAP Test.” In Online Credibility and Digital Ethos: Evaluating Computer-Mediated Communication (2013). Recently Laura has been focusing on the incorporation of an ePortfolio into Bryant’s new first year curriculum working closely with faculty and students.
Speaker: Andrea Milligan
Andrea Milligan is the Director of Instructional Technology and Design at North Shore Community College. Before coming to North Shore Community College, Andrea was the Director of Academic Technology at from Framingham State University, where she worked for over twelve years. Andrea has over ten years of practical and theoretical experience in promoting and facilitating the use of technology as an integral part of the total academic experience; helping faculty in the design and development of Web-enhanced, hybrid and online courses; providing professional development opportunities to faculty in using technology effectively in the teaching and learning environment; assisting and supporting faculty and students in the use of academic technology tools; and maintaining an awareness of the latest instructional technologies and emerging technologies that might have an impact on the teaching and learning environment.
Speaker: Tony Sindelar
Tony Sindelar has been working in the field of Instructional Design and Instructional Technology for over 10 years. Currently part of the Office of the Provost at the MGH Institute of Health Professions, Tony assist instructors with the design and delivery of online, hybrid, and face-to-face course. An experienced presenter and workshop facilitator, Tony also has 8 years of classroom teaching experience. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Speaker: Victoria Wallace
Victoria Wallace has over 15 years of instructional design experience in the financial, technical, and academic fields. As part of the MGH Institute of Health Professions Office of the Provost team Victoria works with faculty and staff providing instructional support in the design, development, facilitation, and evaluation of course materials to improve teaching strategies and the student experience. She consults with faculty on pedagogy integrating research-based principles, best practices, and the latest technology into course curriculum.
Prior to her role at MGH IHP, Victoria worked in Northeastern University's Educational Technology Center supporting faculty designing and developing online courses, and was responsible for promoting and managing outreach initiatives and pilots including Clickers and the Mobile Learning Digital Media Program using iPads. Prior to her role at Northeastern University, Victoria was an instructional designer at Harvard University and Brown Brothers-Harriman. She has taught online for several semesters in the Graduate Program of Instructional Design at UMass Boston. Victoria holds a B.A. in Psychology from University of Central Florida and a M.Ed. in Instructional Design from University of Massachusetts-“ Boston.
