Speaker: Brian Bergeron
Brian Bergeron is a software developer at the College of the Holy Cross. Brian has supported the offices of Admissions, Registrar and Class Deans over the past 13 years. The primary application he supports is PeopleSoft, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining extensive customizations and providing production support. Brian also maintains other reporting applications at the College. He was part of the core team that implemented the paperless solution for Admissions.
Brian has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Phoenix.
Speaker: Kevin Brassard
Kevin Brassard is the Chief Information Officer at Nichols College, encompassing all technology and library services on campus. From February 2012 through June 2013, Kevin also held the position of Associate Vice President for Graduate & Professional Studies, responsible for recruitment, marketing, advising, academic, and online services for the evening and online division of the college.
He has over 25 years of experience in information technology, spanning industries such as high tech manufacturing, managed health care, and auto parts manufacturing. During his time at Nichols College, he has managed the implementation of a new student information system, a new fundraising application, a redesigned web site with new content management system, and several other applications. Kevin is also responsible for managing the merging/integration of the Information Technology organization with the Library. Kevin has a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Western New England University, and an M.S. degree in Computer Information Systems from Bentley University.
Speaker: Heather Gerteisen
Heather Gerteisen is a Senior Business Analyst at the College of the Holy Cross. She has over 15 years of experience in higher education, working first as an Admissions functional user and then transitioning to provide support from the IT side. Heather primarily supports Admissions and Student Records, and assists on a variety of other projects. Heather’s responsibilities include leading projects, documenting business requirements, quality assurance testing, troubleshooting, and production support. She works extensively with PeopleSoft and ImageNow. Her focus is on building strong client relationships and fully understanding business processes to facilitate successful projects.
Heather has an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
Speaker: Jared Hamilton
Jared Hamilton is the Associate Vice President for Enterprise Applications at Nichols College, where he oversees the student information system, portal, CRM, learning management system, and mobile solutions. He has nearly 15 years of experience in higher education, where he has managed the implementation and upgrade projects for various software platforms and systems. He is responsible for database administration, programming, and integrating disparate systems. Jared has a B.S. degree in Computer Science form West Virginia Institute of Technology.
Speaker: Bill Krysinski
Bill Krysinski has been involved in technology and technology education for over fifteen years. He is a former Captain in the United States Air Force, who served as a Communications and Information Security Officer. Bill has private sector experience, working in IT Project Management at Fortune 100 organizations, prior to joining Charter Oak State College. He is currently the Assistant Director of Academic Technology at Charter Oak State College. Bill continues to help shape the technology vision and leadership by developing and implementing IT initiatives that create and maintain our ability to extend Charter Oak’s mission – “A dynamic community of online learners advancing the nation's workforce one graduate at a time.”
Speaker: Andre Mailhot
Andre Mailhot began working in 2010 as a Software Administrator at College of the Holy Cross. He works with numerous computer systems on campus and is involved in new implementations, software upgrades, hardware migrations, configuration, training, troubleshooting and support.
Prior to working at Holy Cross Andre worked as a Network Administrator for four years managing the hardware side of things from T1s to routers, switches, servers, desktops, and phone systems.
Andre has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts.
Speaker: Eric Zematis
Eric Zematis has been educational innovator for nearly 20 years. He is currently the Director of Enterprise Systems at Charter Oak State College, Connecticut's public, online college. Eric's passion is to improve institutional effectiveness through process improvement and technological advancement.
Eric is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and committed to advancing the project management profession through his leadership role with the Southern New England Chapter of the Project Management Institute.
