Lance Eaton
Lance Eaton is an instructional designer and faculty development specialist at Brandeis University, a doctoral student in UMASS Boston’s Higher Education program, and a part-time instructor at North Shore Community College and Southern New Hampshire University.  His professional work focuses on improving student learning and experiences in online, hybrid, and traditional classrooms through faculty development focused on issues such as accessibility, universal design for learning, open educational resources, open pedagogy, and other inclusive practices that maximize student potential through traditional and newer pedagogies and technologies.  His doctoral work focuses on the limitations of the academic publishing regime for scholars who rely on piracy practices to access research literature in order to publish new research.  He also writes for several magazines and websites. Danielle Leek
Danielle Leek is the Director of Academic Innovation & Distance Education at Bunker Hill Community College. She received her PhD in Communication Studies from the University Iowa and is an award-winning communication educator. She has over twenty years of experience designing and offering communication training experiences – some of her clients include Northwestern and Harvard Universities, Campus Compact, Gannett News, the National Association of Urban Debate Leagues, Gilda’s Club, the American Humane Society, along with numerous political candidates and public figures. In 2015, she received the National Association of Communication Centers Von Till award for Outstanding work in the field. She specializes in supporting intra-campus dialogues and promoting communication between faculty, staff and students on college campuses.
