Speaker:  Mark Phalen, Director of Admissions Information Systems, St. Lawrence University

We will present two real-world examples of how we have utilized the features in Slate to enhance our inner office efficiencies and communications with our applicants.

First Topic: Front Rush/Slate Integration – We will be exploring the standard setup, decision data flow, and a new way to receive transcript review requests in Slate.

Second Topic: We will outline how we collaborate with our Registrar’s Office to process transfer credit evaluations within a Slate workflow. In addition, we will discuss how we automatically present this information to the student.

2:15pm - 3:00pm   Leveraging Slate Beyond Admissions
Speakers:
Carrie Kell, Associate Director for Strategic Enrollment Initiatives, Rhode Island School of Design
Jessica Meers, Lead Application Specialist, Rhode Island School of Design

Finding a system that can meet the needs across an institution can be challenging and sharing such a system can be even more complicated. This session will review how Rhode Island School of Design leverages Slate beyond admissions with a single instance. When other systems were not up to par, departments such as Continuing Education and Global Studies have been able to use Slate for their non-degree programs and individualized needs.
