Event Overview
A well-functioning team is not an accident. Well-functioning teams make the difference between an effective organization and one that limps along. This workshop looks at team development, and intentional strategies and tools to give developing and existing teams the best chance of success. New and seasoned managers often aren’t provided professional development to support them in becoming leaders of new or existing teams. We will spend the day understanding how teams move through development stages.  We will explore the responsibilities of supervisors, managers and team leaders to intentionally guide team building.  This includes learning about the tools for structuring communication, understanding role clarity, and making decisions within a team. This session will be highly interactive to practice the tools and provide opportunities to engage with other attendees, creating support teams for team building development.

Session Outcomes:
- An understanding of tools which support communication and the natural roles in teams.
- Knowledge of a structure and common language for developing mature teams.
- Gain an understanding of teams, to allow attendees to begin assessing their teams and how to create intention in developing them.
