Uncommon Team: The Story of Managing a Student Run Help Desk

Workshop organizers will introduce the workshop and describe Manhattan College’s various strategies for success in fostering a 90% student-run help desk.

10:15am - 11:00am   Presentation by Lehigh University 
Speaker:  Andrew Januszak Computing Consultant, Lehigh University

Lehigh will present on Lehigh University’s perspective of the beginning stages of a student run-help desk, employee responsiblities, scheduling and recruitment. 

11:00am - 12:00pm   Presentation by Bryn Mawr College 
Speaker:  Katie Surkin, Senior Manager for Client Relationships and Support, Bryn Mawr College

Katie will present Bryn Mawr College’s perspective of a student-run help desk and various topics such as the skills and benefits that student workers take with them as they find jobs outside of Bryn Mawr.

1:00pm - 2:00pm   Presentation by Trinity College 
Speaker:   Ann Marie Krupski, Director of Constituency Services, Information Services, Trinity College

Ann Marie will present Trinity College’s perspective of a student-run help desk by covering methods of improving your student workforce by cultivating a motivating workplace, as well as the policies and procedures needed for a student-run help desk
