Event Overview
Whether students are at home learning remotely or on campus in the classroom, institutions continue to face the challenge of meeting the needs of students who come with a varying array of abilities. As faculty and staff explore new ways to support and personalize the learning experience for all learners, more tools and resources are being developed. Accessibility is a core value at Apple and we believe that technology should be accessible to everyone. Join us to learn about the built-in accessibility features included on every iPhone, iPad and Mac that allow all students to explore, communicate, and create in new and powerful ways. A presentation by staff and students of the iPAL initiative from Curry College will illuminate the power and flexibility of the tools, when placed in the hands of active and creative users.
Learning Objectives
- Identify the capacities and contributions of standard features on Apple Products regarding the needs of the widest possible range of learners and creators.
- Outline an educational structure that empowers undergraduate students to select and employ the software which suits their needs most closely, and supports maximum productivity and creativity in their academic career
Please note: Apple sessions are not recorded
